What follows is a compilation of collective guidelines of care coming from different fields and configurations — from informal affinity groups, activist collectives to arts organizations.

Inspired by the work of feminist, decolonial and anti-capitalist activists, we launched the open call Intersecting Guidelines of Care in 2019, which resulted in this online publication.

This collection aims at sharing tools for safer and more ethical collaborations within groups, organizations and institutions. It originates in our recurrent feeling of lack of tools when facing a situation of problematic or imbalanced power relation, and our thankfulness when peers, allies and friends share empowering tools with us.

Launching Autumn 2020, Futuress is an online magazine and community space for design research. At Futuress, we understand design as a social and political practice, examining the objects, systems, and structures that shape our lived realities. Through our storytelling and digital support networks, we want to build a home for the histories, people, and perspectives that have been—and still often remain—underrepresented, marginalized, oppressed, suppressed, and ignored. Futuress will champion the individuals and initiatives that work together—sustainably and fairly—towards more just futures.
